Romper Obsessed!!!

Since I was a little fashionista back in the 80’s, my obsession with rompers started. And STILL till this day, I have a closet full of these damn things, as in their “own” section of my walk in closet. Rompers are pieces that are super versatile in your wardrobe. They can take you from day to night, throwing a leather jacket over it, throwing on some heels, changing a purse to a clutch, and BAMMMM!!! You have a whole new look.  This particular one I purchased recently from Vestique boutique in Blakeney. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. This boutique offers trendy clothing at affordable prices for the fashion forward woman. They have great denim, tops, dresses, accessories, shoes, etc! It’s a one stop shop! And I mean, this romper was ONLY $48 DOLLARS!!! Yes you read that right….. down below at the bottom, I’ve linked where you can buy this awesome staple to add to your wardrobe. Or you can visit the Vestique Boutique and purchase it there. Also, purchased here are my new favorite sunnies, as Rachel Zoe would say, and they are by a company called Diff Eyewear.

I styled this romper with a few different handbags. Top picture is with a Brian Atwood black and gold chain bag (purchased from Bloomingdales in NYC) and red Manolo Blahniks. I always try and throw in a pop of color somewhere in my outfit because if you know me, I wear all black…..A LOT!!! So red or hot pink always gives it a little punch that it needs.

Rompers come in various colors, lengths, sizes, styles. And one of my favorite styles is one shoulder. I think there is something super sexy about one shoulder dresses, rompers, sweaters, tops, etc. It’s fun and playful and leaves something to the imagination, without bearing too much. Like I always say, “Keep it classy, with a little sassy” And that’s always been my sense of style and I live by those words when I shop. Here in the bottom pic I chose to style this look with a snakeskin embossed textured black clutch from BCBG by Max Azria. And my black velvet choker I purchased from a cute boutique in Asheville, NC.

This photoshoot was so much fun and I had a blast shooting in Southend, CLT with this colorful mural as my background. Megan, the photographer is amazing and is so professional and spot on at what she does. Check out her website to see all of her work and it is amazing!!! www.meganelizabethdunbar.com/

My Favorite Fall Essentials

All black all day everyday!!! Yep, I love wearing all black and being a New Yorker for over 6 years, all black was basically my uniform. I wore all black to work as well as pretty much everyday with the exception of throwing in a pop of color in my shoes or handbag. Black has so many benefits: it’s hella slimming, timeless, and chic! Can’t go wrong with any of that in my opinion.

Y’all when I tell you this black cold shoulder sweater is my favorite sweater of all time…..I ended up buying 2 more, LOL! Why?!?! Well… because if anything happens to this sweater I will have backup(s). This is such a major steal!!! Online it is $28!!! WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! Comes in two colors. But again, black is my fave! It’s super soft and not itchy at all. I wear it with no cami underneath too. It amazes me that I have been searching for over a year for the perfect black sweater and so glad I FINALLY found it! Boohoo website has great deals and pretty fast shipping even coming from the UK.

Speaking of MAJOR DEALS… my fringe tote is from Amazon… yeah you heard right!!! Years ago I was searching for this bag on Nordstrom website and couldn’t find it for the life of me. Then randomly I saw it on AMAZON.COM!!! It is less than $35 bucks and believe it or not, it’s not even leather. I cannot tell y’all how many compliments I get on this bag. It has compartments for all your pens, cell phone, keys, lip gloss, etc. I get stopped every time I carry this out asking where to purchase this tote from. And everyone’s reaction is the same. “YOU GOT IT FROM WHERE?”

And you cannot have a completed outfit until you have some super oversized sunnies. My sunglasses are Prada and were purchased from Saks Fifth Ave. Also, they are on sale too!!! I love the shape of these sunglasses and the all black shades are super chic.

Overall, even though we didn’t have a winter this season, these are some of my favorite Fall essentials that I purchased. They will be in my closet for years and I love how I can style them all differently according to my mood and what I want to wear that day. I linked my faves above if you want to shop my style!!! Thanks for reading y’all!!!

XOXOXOXO,

Look Ma! I’m on the news!!!

Look Ma! I’m on the news!!! Well, I am still so humbled by the fact that I was on the news with 2 of my favorite people in Charlotte by my side. Lorri and Brandon, the founders of Prosocialites, gave me an incredible honor to be this month’s Woman Crush Wednesday for the month of February. If y’all don’t already know what Prosocialites is or what they are about and their mission, well you are missing out. Prosocialites is an organization where their mission is anchored in becoming a vessel of doing good for others. They are bringing different and unique events to Charlotte that no one has created before. I remember what Brandon had said in the interview on the news, ” There’s more than just the PARTY SCENE” And YES THERE IS!!! Their events are great for networking, mingling, and just having fun meeting others especially if you are new to the city like I am. I love their creativity and hustle that they exude every damn day! If it wasn’t for one of their first WCW events, I would have never met these two.

Woman Crush Wednesday event is a monthly event honoring a prominent woman in Charlotte doing great things. I am beyond floored that I got chosen as I am a foodie and fashion blogger. In my interview, I stated that my goal is that I want to bring the best food and fashion to Charlotte. And by golly, I am going to achieve that. Even if it takes me running more miles and doing more cardio everyday, LOL just to eat the food I want and to look cute in my outfits I style. This month the event is going to be held at Fidelli’s Kitchen in South End.

Okay, so being on Good Day Charlotte, was super nerve racking. OMG!!! Like here is how it went down. You wait in the break room, they come and get you, they mic you up, and you sit and do yo thang…. then you’re dunzo! I couldn’t believe how fast the segments go. I cannot tell y’all how nervous I was. When they put that mic on you, shit gets real. Like no joke. There are 3 huge ginormous cameras staring into your soul or at least that’s how I felt at that moment. Good thing Jason Harper made me feel comfortable and just rolled with it when he asked me questions. Jason Harper actually is a newbie to Charlotte as well. He is a character and really great at what he does. So, welcome to Queen City Jason!!! Lorri and Brandon spoke about WCW, what Prosocialites is about, and other upcoming events they have. In and out of the news station in less than 20 minutes. The longest part was when we were all snapping a shit ton of pictures atferwards. HAHAHA! Gotta have pictures and memories of these wonderful opportunites. Life is short, you never know if another opportunity like this will ever arise in the future.

So, in conclusion, super fun morning with Prosocialites on Good Day Charlotte, Fox News,  and cannot wait until this Wednesday! I hope to see and meet a lot of y’all and finally put instagram names to faces! Please come out Wednesday, February 15th at Fidelli KItchen in South End from 6-9pm!!! Would love to meet y’all if I already haven’t. Also, find out how my social media and blog “sweet seoul in charlotte” was born and much much more!!!

Life is Short… Buy The Damn Shoes!!!

Life is short buy the damn shoes is the theme for this chilly cold Friday. I’m super excited about my packages I received today! Y’all, I have had a red shoe obsession since God only knows when. Like the addiction is real. Anytime I see an amazing red pump or stiletto, I snag that shit right up! The color red in general is super sexy and adds some color to your outfit.

Zara is one of my favorite shops to get great wardrobe pieces from. I discovered Zara when I lived in NYC. I quickly became obsessed with the great prices and quality of their merchandise. This company is sold internationally and stays super up to date on fashion trends. So needless to say, I’ve been a loyal customer for over 6 years now.

Another obsession of mine would be handbags. Boy oh boy do I get excited about a new handbag, clutch, or in this case a mini studded backpack. These are great to own because if you need both hands (especially when doing some major shopping) this is ideal! I love the studded detail and I think it brings some edge to a plain black backpack. I cannot believe what a steal I got both pieces for under $100 buck a roos!!! Yes, you read that right… BOTH for under $100. Zara has great sales but you gotta get em quick because they sell out super fast. If you have never shopped at Zara or their online site, check it out! Hope y’all can snag some great deals like I did! Happy Fashion Friday!!! xoxoxoxoxo
